This list contains some of the good people I have worked with---some for almost twenty-five years. If you bookmark this page you will have a ready file of experts on tap. You can have the same resource I use daily to assist my Canadian/U.S. business clients.

Canadians living and working in the U.S. often need expert assistance in several areas. Human resource managers will often handle or outsource these issues. This Web site contains a comprehensive checklist of these points.

Our firm assists Canadian companies get U.S. work permits for employees. We also help U.S. companies hiring Canadians. Our border location allows us to provide a specialized NAFTA-based service for HR departments throughout Canada and the U.S.

Canadian Consulate

6b. Canadian Trade Commissioners: External Affairs and International Trade Canada is the Canadian federal department responsible for promoting Canadian trade, investment, and tourism around the world. This department also maintains the Trade Commissioner Service.

Canadians who are interested in starting or expanding export sales to the U.S. should contact the Trade Commissioner at the International Trade Centre nearest them. There is at least one International Trade Centre in each of the 10 Canadian provinces.

After the particular U.S. market of interest has been identified, the Canadian company may then wish to contact the Trade Commissioner at the appropriate Trade Mission abroad. Trade Commissioners abroad can:

• promote Canadian companies to U.S. customers;
• assist with advice on marketing channels;
• recommend appropriate trade fairs;
• identify suitable U.S. firms to act as agents for Canadian firms;
• assist in finding credit and business information on potential U.S. partners;
• help solve problems with duties, taxes, and U.S. exchange;
• advise Canadians on the U.S.' current trade, business, and financial environment and practices;
• advise and assist Canadian firms with U.S. joint ventures and licensing.
